Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, famous for his use of “the f-word” and even more so for his gastronomic ingenuity, launched a restaurant in 2009 and it is situated in The One&Only hotel in Cape Town. Maze is the name on everyone’s lips, and has been described as “one of the best restaurants in the world”.

Maze can seat up to 170 guests and is modelled on its British namesake, yet the dishes will evoke the bountiful flavours of the traditional recipes of South Africa. Maze restaurant offers the best in local seafood and game, as well as fresh produce from organic South African farms. Word has it that Maze is home to the country’s largest and most impressive collection of South African wine – housed in a magnificent tri-level wine loft. We’re hoping to test out a few bottles during the EO Cape Town University!
